إدارة الموارد البشرية هي دراسة أكاديمية تهدف لفهمٍ أفضل في كيفية إدارة العاملين في شركة او مؤسسة والتعامل معهم، من أجل رفع قدرتهم الإنتاجية لتحقيق أفضل النتائج التي ترغب بها المؤسسة. بشكل عام في كل مؤortuة وسطى أو كبيرة يجب أن يكون هناك إما فريقاً لإدارة الموا cet Ceilles البشريةاًو médiى.

دراسة إدارة الموارد البشرية تساعدك على الاستيعاب، الفهم، التدريب، التطوير، وتقييم الأداء للموظفين الحاليين في الشركة، وكذلك تساعد على اختيار الموظفين والعاملين المحتملين في المؤسسة. تهدف هذه الدراسة (بحسب المستوى العلمي الذي يرغب بدراسته الطالب) إما لتحضير طلاب قادرين على إدارة العاملين في المؤسسة أو لفهم أفضل لطريقة الإدارة البشرية.

أصول هذه الدراسة تعود لآلاف السنين، وكان يطلق عليها أسماء اخرى ولكن عمر هذه الدراسة كدراسة أكاديمية يعود لأكثر من 70 عام حيث تم انشاء أبحاث ودراسات عن طريقة تطوير الشركة داخلياً من قبل العاملين بها، فبحسب بعض الدراسات، فإن إرضاء وتطوير العاملين وقدرتهم الإنتاجية في الشركة هو أهم من إرضاء العملاء الذين يرغبون بشراء المنتج، فلا يمكن ان تتحصل على عميلٍ راضٍ بالمنتج الذي لديك ما لم يكن قد حصل على خدمة جيدة من العاملين في المؤسسة لذلك فإن العاملين في الشركة هم الأهم.

إن هذه الدراسة الأكاديمية هي أوسع وأكبر من مجرد إدارة العاملين، إن مدير الموارد البشرية هو الجندي الحاضر-الغائب في تطوير أي مؤسسة لأنه هو على اتصال غير مباشر مع العميل ولكنه هو حجر الأساس لأرضا العميل عبر إدارة جيدة للعاملين لذلك تجد ان أي مؤسسة متوسطة الحجم أو أكثر لديها قسم خاص يطلق عليه إدارة الموارد البشرية.

بالتأكيد، اثناء هذه الدراسة يجب على الطالب دراسة مواضيع مثل الرواتب وإدارة الفوائد التي هي مواضيع يومية يجب على قسم إدارة الموارد البشرية ان يتعامل مها ولكن حالياً فإن إدارة الموارد البشرية تركز ايضاً أمور أُخرى مثل عمليات الاندماج والاستحواذ، وإدارة المواهب، وعلاقات العمل، والتنوع والشمول .
